Pumpkin Pie Shakeology
Finally…fall is here. The air has turned crisp, I have broke out my favorite pants and sweaters, football is our Saturday background noise, and the pumpkin patch is calling our name. In honor of my favorite season, I decided to shake things up and give the Shakeology Pumpkin Pie Recipe recipe a shot that everyone has been raving about.
The verdict is in and it deserves a standing ovation! It’s also been circulating that the Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks isn’t that great for you. 😉 Yikes! I’m okay with a few indulgences here and there, but make sure you watch what’s in your drinks as well. Not just the calories!
There is a full serving of pumpkin in this yummy, pie-flavored smoothie with chopped pecans. But it’s not really pie, so you can indulge in a glass for breakfast, or whenever you want. Pumpkin is an excellent source of fiber, which will help to keep you feeling satisfied until your next meal.
What you’ll need:
¼ cup water
¾ cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 scoop Vanilla Shakeology
½ cup canned pumpkin puree
1 tsp. pure maple syrup (or raw honey)
1 Tbsp. coarsely chopped raw pecans
1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1 cup ice
Place water, almond milk, Shakeology, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, pecans, pumpkin pie spice, and ice in blender; cover. Blend until smooth.
